Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
General:
The Chief Financial Officer in this position is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the corporation, as well as provide general supervision & management of day-to-day financial and accounting affairs consistent with guidelines and decisions as established by the Board of Directors.
Specific:
--Provide general supervision and management of the day-to-day financial and accounting affairs of SAE with the guidelines established by the Board, consistent with decisions requiring prior approval of the Board and the Board’s expectations of management.
--With the CEO, ensure the development of an Annual Operating plan including business plans, operational requirements, organizational structure, staffing and budgets that support the strategic plan.
--with the CEO, ensure the implementation of the Annual Operating Plan and direct and monitor the activities and resources of SAE, consistent with the strategic direction, financial limits and operating objectives approved by the Board.
--Ensure that SAE maintains an appropriate capital structure to support its Annual Operating Plans and Strategic Plans.
--Ensure that SAE has sufficient liquidity to implement its business plans.
--Approve commitments within the limits of delegated approval authorities.
--With the CEO, provide the Board assurance that the proper systems are in place to identify and manage business risks and that such risks are acceptable to SAE and are within established guidelines.
--With the CEO, ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity and appropriate disclosure of SAE’s financial statements and other financial information through appropriate policies and procedures.
--With the CEO, establish and maintain SAE’s disclosure controls and procedures through appropriate policies and procedures.
--With the CEO, establish and maintain SAE’s internal controls over financial reporting through appropriate policies and procedures.
--With the CEO, ensure that SAE has complied with all regulatory requirements for SAE’s financial information, reporting, disclosure requirements and internal controls over financial reporting.
--Provide required regulatory certifications regarding SAE and its activities.
--Ensure that appropriate financial risk, accounting, and auditing policies and procedures of SAE are developed, maintained, approved and disclosed as may be appropriate.
--Communicate and disclose in a timely fashion to the Board of Directors, any and all material financial and accounting maters affecting SAE.
--With the CEO, ensure the development of a Strategic Plan for SAE to maximize shareholder value and recommend it to the Board for review and approval.
--With the CEO, ensure the implementation of the Strategic Plan and report to the Board in a timely manner on deviations from the Strategic Plan or any parameters established by the Board.

--Serve as SAE’s governance liaison to financial rating agencies.
Background/Training:
• Time management skills, including preparation, execution and timely documentation of results.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Effective use of MS Excel, Word, Power Point and Lotus Notes database applications.
• Ability to see well enough to use computer efficiently and read computer reports and correspondence
• Ability to communicate in fluent English with employees and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information
